Cold rooms and refrigeration plant run continuously, so a fault that goes unnoticed can put stock at risk. LEOTECH provides maintenance for the systems it installs, with 24-hour service availability, periodic check-ups and, where a monitoring system is installed, continuous monitoring of sensitive, high-volume installations. Our qualified technical staff are familiar with how LEOTECH systems are designed and built.

How remote monitoring supports maintenance
LEOTECH's centralised monitoring and control system can be fitted to new and existing cold rooms and refrigeration units. It can:
- Log temperature, humidity, pressure, voltage and other operating data
- Send alarm messages to registered mobile phones when values move outside configured limits
- Let authorised users view data and adjust controller settings from a computer or mobile phone
- Produce charts and reports from stored data
Monitoring is only as effective as its set-up and response: sensors must be correctly placed, alarm limits set appropriately, power and communication links working, and someone assigned to act on alerts. It supports routine maintenance; it does not replace it.
What does routine maintenance look at?
On refrigeration and cold room systems, routine checks typically cover:
- Evaporator and condenser coils, fans and defrost operation
- The refrigerant circuit and any signs of leaks
- Compressor operation, pressures and oil levels
- Electrical connections, control panels and alarm functions
- Door gaskets, door heaters and closers
- Temperature records against required set points
The scope of each visit is agreed with the client.

What does the monitoring system alert us to?

Can we get temperature records for audits?
The system stores data and can produce charts and reports, which can support your own record-keeping.
